The installation process of your home remodel can be a bit nebulous, especially if you’ve never experienced it before. At LJ’s Kitchens and Interiors we want to make the process as transparent and easy as possible for you!

Installation is the third step in our design process. At this point you’ve walked through our showroom and have experienced firsthand what cabinetry, countertops, and hardware we have to offer. You’ve discussed your specific needs and sat down with one of our designers to draw up a plan. Now that the design is set and the materials can be ordered, what can you expect?

Choosing A Contractor

We are by your side throughout every step of the process, even when it comes to installation. We’re happy to work with a contractor that you hire, but we also have our own list of local service providers that we’ve routinely worked with over the past 40 years. We know the quality of the work they deliver, and want to ensure the finished product you end up with meets our standards.

Custom Cabinets vs. Standard Cabinets

Quality work takes time and custom cabinets will take a bit longer than standard builds. In general the process takes 4 – 6 weeks, but depending on other factors such as structural size, desired wood, paint, finish etc. this timeline can vary. Certain materials have longer delivery lead times than others. If you want your home remodel project to be finished before before a certain date it’s best to talk to a designer about a feasible timeline.

A lot of our customers go the custom cabinet route, which are built to order. We have your custom cabinetry built exactly to the space the design provides for. Maximizing the use of your space is key. Custom cabinets are perfect if you want total control over the look of your kitchen or bathroom. Customized cabinets can be created to your specific tastes and needs so the finalized product can serve your family for decades.

Managing the Installation

We’re just as committed to the installation phase as we are to the planning and design phase. Before we even order the materials we’ll double-check every measurement. When the order arrives our team will personally check to make sure everything is correct. If something ends up wrong or missing, we make it our priority to correct the error and keep your installation on track so there is less headache for you.

We work alongside the electricians, plumbers, and builders to aid in the remodel of your home. It’s important that we coordinate and communicate with the trades involved so we get it right the first time. It’s not your job to keep track of all the moving parts – it’s ours.
