Scott Holmes
Scott Holmes is one of only a few Certified Kitchen Designers in the state of Michigan.
Designing spaces for his clients is truly his passion, and nothing is more satisfying than seeing a project completed and witnessing their full satisfaction. Scott’s parents, Lynn and Jerilynn, started LJ’s Kitchens & Interiors in 1976. He began working side by side with his father in 1984 and purchased the company in 1999. His dedication to guiding clients through the creation and design process is evident from the very first planning session. Scott is an active member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and the Home Builders Association of Central Michigan.
Robert Gurski
Robert Gurski has been a designer at LJ’s Kitchen & Interiors for over 27 years.
Robert graduated from Central Michigan University 30 years ago with a bachelor degree in Interior Design and Architectural minor in Art and Art History. During his design career, he has been acknowledged in a national blog campaign; he has also won national and international awards from 20/20, the leading kitchen and bath design software, for his print of the designing process. Robert loves seeing someone’s ideas come to life in a design. He is a father of five and proud grandfather to three beautiful grandkids. When he isn’t designing kitchens and baths, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife on their small farm.
Karen Langell
Karen Langell has been a designer with LJ’s Kitchens and Interiors since graduating from Central Michigan University in 1993 with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Art History.
She greatly enjoys working with new clients everyday on a variety of projects and being well versed in all aspects of kitchen and bathroom design. The most rewarding part of her work is taking a client’s wish list and turning a challenging room into a space they’ll love for years. It is especially rewarding to work with repeat clients who come back for more projects because they enjoyed their experience working with her. Karen is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and the Home Builders Association of Central Michigan.
Megan Holmes
Megan Holmes is the third generation of the LJ’s Kitchens family.
She has worked alongside her father since 2018 to learn all aspects of the business, while also spending time learning from her paternal grandmother and mother. Family has always been at the center of her life, and she brings that same spirit to every client who walks through the doors. Her goal is to make the entire process feel easy, welcoming, and supported from start to finish. After remodeling her own home in 2019, she gained a deeper appreciation for what clients experience during design and installation. Her favorite part is bringing all the components together to make clients’ dream rooms come true. She’s an active member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and local Home Builders Association. In her free time, she enjoys being around her family, friends and pets.
